This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear the world's greatest harpists in Vancouver.
Registration is now open for the 11th World Harp Congress in Vancouver, BC July 24-30, 2011, at www.worldharpcongress2011.com! If you haven't joined our mailing list, checked out our facebook group, or looked at our web site, I encourage you to join the excitement! We have the programme posted and the Facebook group has over 100 photos and bios already listed. With so many amazing performers and speakers, it is hard to pick out "highlights", since they are all highlights. But just to name a few:
Emmanuel Ceysson, Maire ni Chathasaigh, Judy Loman, Erica Goodman, Catriona McKay, Park Stickney, Rudiger Opperman, Celso Duarte senior and junior, a konghou ensemble, Benjamin Creighton Griffiths, and over 150 of Canada's and the world's best performers and speakers!

For those who have asked about the price of a day pass, the rate is $100 for the first Sunday, and $150 for the next days, which have more concerts than the first day. All the rates go up after April 9, 2011. The earlier you register, the more choice you have of seating in the Orpheum concerts. And why not get the full week's pass, for just $250.?
Price of admission gives you an automatic membership in the WHC.

If you find and purchase the harp of your dreams from the ones on exhibit at the WHC, you do not have to pay for shipping or border brokers. Our web site will continue to add the names of the harp companies which will have their wares on sale as they confirm. Already, we have all the big ones and some less-known ones as well.

There are usually some great deals on sheet music at these harp conferences. There will be plenty of CDs and other products on sale as well. The concerts, lectures, master classes and Focus on Youth are well worth the money. For the cost of a couple of private lessons, you get a full day of learning and inspiration and the chance to shop at the biggest collection of Harp goodies in Vancouver that has ever happened.

If you have friends who are flying in from out of town, we expect to have a deal soon for a discount for our registrants. Keep an eye on the web site for further information.
